Persistent neuropathy Jan 9, 2001 I've been having persistent neuropathy and have tried neurontin, elavil, klonipin, oxycontin, dilaudid and xanax all with limited success. Now my doctor wants to do an epidural injection. What is this and does it actually work? |

 A Epidural is an injection of a medication into the epidural space (outside the dura, or the cover of your spinal cord), This injection acts to block the transmission of pain at the nerve root level.
