Elevate numbers? Nov 15, 2000 I have elevated blood pressure, and can't sleep. After a few hours of sleep, I am awakened by elevated heart rate. I'm not on any meds at this time. Why do I have this? If blood pressure and heart rate are not results of hiv+, what could drive this reaction? |

 Elevated blood pressure has not been directly associated with HIV infection; however, several conditions involved in HIV, including severe anxiety and heart or kidney disease, may play a secondary role in high blood pressure. Effective control of your blood pressure and the diagnosis and treatment of any other conditions may help to alleviate your symptoms.
