Prinzide Interaction Effects Nov 27, 2000 I am currently taking 1 tablet of Prinzide(10.0-12.5 mg) daily to control a mild case of hypertension. My podiatrist has prescribed VIOXX(25mg)to combat inflmmation in my left foot caused by osteo-arthritis. How safe is this combination? I have read elsewhere on the Internet that VIOXX should not be prescribed to people who are using blood pressure medications on a daily basis. If VIOXX is not safe, what do you recommend? I have been taking up to 2400mg of ibuprofen daily,(800mg three times daily)which seems to control the inflammation. Is that safe/practical, or does that have adverse long-term side effects? Please advise. Thank You |
