fat injection
Jul 7, 2006

hi, is there any risk on doing at one shot fat suction form arms, back, waist and also at the same surgery inject fat to my face? I know the risk of infection does exist, but by doing this all together is it making it dangerous more then if i would do only the fat suction, also what's the difference of injection fat to my face OR puting these other materials? I read here that even the other materiam can be absorbed like you didn't do a thing so which is better?

Response from Dr. Henry

The published data on fat transfers (fat from other areas to face) suggest that outcomes are variable and such problems as excessive fat growth on the face have been reported. Thus it is difficult to comment or endorse that approach--up to the individual patients/surgeon but I generally would be wary until there is more positive experience (with long term good results) with that approach.
