Without a better idea of your risk for HIV infection (what was the likelihood that your partner was infected?), it is impossible to guess if your symptoms are related to acute infection. Even if we did have a better idea of your risk, diagnosing acute infection is not something I do and is a tricky business. One of the problems with diagnosing acute HIV infection is that the symptoms mimic other illnesses, like the flu or mono.
If you believe you are at significant risk for HIV or your symptoms continue or get worse, please see a doctor.
