Do you recommend any home HIV tests that are available for purchase over the Internet or the phone? how accurate are such tests?
| Response from Mr. Kull
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued Warning Letters for Unapproved HIV Test Kits in January of this year. The link contains names of organizations that sell unapproved kits. Some of these are sold over the internet. The FDA filed charges last year against two marketers for selling fraudulent HIV tests over the internet. Unbelievable!
The Home Access testing kit is the only FDA approved HIV home test. Visit the Home Access website for more information or to order the test. DO NOT BUY OTHER TESTS OVER THE INTERNET. I only trust accuracy of tests that have received FDA approval. The Home Access test is reported to be 99.9% effective.

Good luck, and be wary of what you buy online.
