| Can HIV be transmitted this way? Aug 6, 2000 Hi, I was dating a 27 year old man for about a month. We only went as far as kissing (open mouth). As far as his sexual history, he has told me that he has slept with 8 women. Now I am really worried about my chance of possible transmission of HIV through kissing. Is this method of transmission very common? I am scared. |

Response from Mr. Kull
Please see previously answered questions on transmission through kissing: Newest Information on Deep Kissing and Which body fluids can transmit the virus.... Put simply: we do not see HIV being transmitted through kissing. Unprotected sex, sharing infected needles, and mother to infant are the most common ways HIV is transmitted. RMK | |||||||||
