What precautions could you take after a visitor with herpes uses your toilet and bathroom?
| Response from Mr. Sowadsky
Hi. Thank you for your question.
Because Herpes and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's) are not transmitted through toilet seats, and other forms of casual contact, you don't need to take any precautions. You are not at risk of infection from toilet seats or any form of casual contact.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to call the Centers for Disease Control at 1.800.232.4636 (Nationwide).
