Vasectomy and HIV/STD's

Can a male who is HIV Positive, who has a had a vasectomy, transmit HIV and other STD's during unprotected sex?

Thank you for your question. A vasectomy (a form of male sterilization to prevent pregnancy) will not prevent the transmission of HIV, nor other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). So even if you had a vasectomy, you are still capable of transmitting HIV and other STDs to your sexual partners (assuming you are infected with HIV or other STDs).
