Withdrawal method, STDs, and Pregnancy
Jul 30, 1998
Can a guy "pullout" before he ejaculates so it prevents you from getting STD's aids are getting pregnant?
Response from Mr. Sowadsky
Thank you for your question. What you are talking about is known as the "withdrawal method". The withdrawal method will not provide adequate protection against Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) including HIV, and you would still be at significant risk of infection! In addition, the withdrawal method is one of the less effective forms of birth control. The only thing that will adequately protect you from STDs (including HIV), and also provide you with a highly effective form of birth control, is using condoms every time and using them correctly.
