| new wristwatch displays blood analysisThe Body: Rick Sowadsky M.S.P.H., C.D.S, Answers to Safe Sex Questions Jan 31, 1997 Isn't there a new wristwatch device that painlessly uses electricity or laser technology to display blood analysis? The device analyzes blood without any puncturing. How far away are we from the day when wristwatches will give a readout of syphilis infection, human immunodeficiency virus antibodies and blood sugar level? |

Response from Mr. Sowadsky
Hi. Thank you for your question. There is presently no wristwatch device that will do blood tests without a needle. There is no such device expected to be developed anytime in the near future for any type of blood test that I'm aware of. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the Centers for Disease Control at 1.800.232.4636 (Nationwide). | |||||||||
