| drinking session Oct 17, 2001 Hi, worried about getting the virus when I had drinking session with people I don't really know the background. We shared same glass, we're around 6 persons sharing. Would it be possible if the virus can be transmitted that way. A possible case maybe, the other person has a blood in his mouth and was passed on thru the glass? Is there a documented case of transmission this way? Thanks hope u can answer right away. |

Response from Mr. Kull
There are no documented cases of HIV being transmitted through casual contact. That includes sharing drinking glasses with HIV infected individuals. See "Misperceptions about HIV and Transmission" (http://www.thebody.com/cdc/factv.html) for more info. RMK | |||||||||
