12 month test because of coinfection?

Aug 15, 2001

Hey there. The CDC says that it has taken longer than 6 months to test pos. exactly two times in the history of hiv. So why, in the hepc/hiv forum are they saying that you should test at 12 months to be sure you are really negative? If the person I slept with had a coinfection, would it take me longer to produce antibodies to HIv or Hep C? Or is SIX MONTHS SIX MONTHS??????

Response from Mr. Kull

Please forward the link for the response to which you are referring. That will help me answer your question.
