Response from Mr. Kull
Any time infected semen or pre-cum comes into contact with a person's mucous membranes (the lining of the anus/rectum, vagina, urethra, and mouth) during sexual activity, there is the POSSIBILITY of infection. The vast majority of HIV transmission occurs through unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse. In all the years of tracking the epidemic, there has been no evidence that anyone has been infected through fingering. That doesn't mean it's impossible; just highly unlikely. If you have fluids on your hands (vaginal, semen, or blood) and there is doubt about the status of yourself or your partner, wash your hands with soap and warm water before continuing any sex play.
