| Need a little advice.... May 10, 2001 Could a slighty clumpyness in my semen be an STD? I notice that during sex sometimes there is clumpyness or solidness in my semen, in very small amounts...what could this be? |

Response from Mr. Kull
A person's semen can vary in color and texture from time to time. Having "clumpy" semen is not that unusual, and may simply be caused by an accumulation of protein in your semen. There are no STDs that cause symptoms of this sort. If you are not experiencing any pain or discomfort in your genitals or rectum and are generally well, you probably have nothing to worry about. You may want to see your primary care doctor and have her/him check your prostate as a precaution. RMK | |||||||||
