Please help-Last time

May 1, 2014

This was my last post and response I got. Post this incident I underwent test at 66 the day(from exposure) for Hiv1/2 Ag/Ab (by CMIA) and results were negative. I will take test at 90 days as well but still living with worry and anexity. Request your opnion on the test

I have sent few requests but not sure if they reached experts

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi The testing guidelines for HIV are to be initially tested at 3 weeks post exposure and then again at 90 days. As long as there are no other exposures happened during this time frame than the results are conclusive. It is a good sign that the result thus far is HIV negative. But again the 90 day mark will give you your conclusive test results.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon
