What was the clear bubble in my mouth? Did I have risk during oral sex?

Mar 8, 2014

I had clear bubble inside my month and accidentally pop it and had oral sex do u think I had herpes or HIV

Response from Mr. Glenn

Thanks for your question,

First off, it's hard to know what that clear bubble was. It's possible that it wasn't anything serious, but maybe it was Herpes. One way to get closer to the truth is to ask if it burned or hurt before. Herpes sores typically feel like something.

As for the oral sex you had. If the bubble left a big open cut/wound/sore/lesion and then you put your mouth on someone's vagina or penis, that would increase the risk for HIV. But keep in mind that regardless, oral sex is considered very low risk for getting/giving HIV.

Hope this helps,
