can hiv spread from 2 days of breastfeeding ???

hello sir,good morning....how r you? my question is "last week my wife was in hospital as she give birth to male child .but my wife has not developed milk and my wife requested other woman who was also become mother to breastfeed my child.my concern is "can hiv spread after 2 days of breastfeeding to newborn baby if that woman was hiv positive. please reply me as soon as possible please

Hi There is a risk if the other mom has HIV. That would be the question to ask. If that mother is HIV positive then it would be important to have your child tested. Mother's breast milk is a way for HIV transmission to occur. But the only way to know is to find out the status of the other woman if you can and if not talk with your health care provider about the situation and possibly getting your child tested.
