much needed advice from an expert PLEASE
Oct 20, 2013
hi I would just like to no what you think of the usaid at home rapid finger prick tests the ones I am referring to are actually on the usaid list of approved tests but are they safe and reliable as there is so much different advice and views online
Response from Ms. Southall
HI These test are all very accurate and just as accurate as a blood draw. The most important thing to remember is the window period. Testing guidelines are to be tested 3 weeks post possible exposure and then again at 90 days and as long as there are no exposures during this time the tests results are conclusive.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
