Fear isn't a strong enough word

Sep 12, 2013

Scared for my and my gf's lives. Had unprotected vaginal sex last year. Tested negative for all stds and hiv at 7 months after. Still have absolutely every hiv symptom of a rapid progressor. Tested negative 6 times by antibody test. My last test was 43 weeks after the event. I woulda had no problem moving if it wasn't for these severe symptoms. Plz your expert opinion. Believe I'm makin another apptmnt with my doctor tmrw. All my tests where done by quest I believe. None where rapid swabs or finger pricks. I'm so so so terrified that I tried trusting my tests and slept with my gf.

Response from Dr. Wohl

If you were a rapid progress or your CD4 cell count would be very low. To convince you that you are really negative I recommend you get an HIV PCR test and a CD4 cell count. If the PCR is negative and your CD4 normal you need to accept that you are not infected and look to alternative reasons for your symptoms.
