Hi, DR.Shannon I have a genital wart on my pubic hair and i had a protected sex with one young lady 1month ago and I got tested; it was negative, but the thing that makes to worry is while we were doing intercourse some of her fluids and blood touch my warts that's on the pubic hair,, AM I AT RISK ???

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi Whenever you have an active sexually transmitted infection your risk for HIV transmission increases. Condoms are effective in the prevention of HIV transmission, as long as they are used correctly and do not break or slip off. You did everything correctly by wearing a condom and your overall risk is low. The warts have to be open in order for fluid to enter the body. So your overall risk is extremely low.

Of course, the only way to truly know your status is to be tested but from this experience your risk is very low.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon

why not answering to me????? do i need to pay????
Help weird risk
