Exposure Assesment
Jul 2, 2013

Last week I had "protected" sex with an escort. Only vaginal intercourse. However, my issue is that she applied lube (water based) to her vagina and then put on the condom with her fingers. What are the implied risks from this?

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi, Condoms are effective in the prevention of HIV transmission, as long as they are used correctly and do not break or slip off. Also if lubricant is used it must be water based. Having her put lubricant on before doesn't increase your risk at all.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon
