Freaking Out a Little!!!

Jun 24, 2013

Hi, Miss Shannon. My question is this, how highly is hiv transmission from me giving oral sex to my partner, when i noticed some ejaculatory liquid from his penis after i removed my mouth from it. As soon as i noticed i quickly removed my mouth and didn't continue....just got some of it on my hand. Thank You for answering my question!

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi The risk is considered to be very low. This can increase when there are cuts, wounds, sores, or lesions in the mouth. But relatively speaking this is still considered to be a low-risk sexual activity. We do know that oral sex carries THE lowest risk of HIV transmission.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon
