Oraquick test procedure
Jun 13, 2013
I had the oraquick test done 9 and 12 months after a possible exposure. I don't recall if I didn't drink anythign before the procedure. Guidelines recommend no water or mouth products before. I remember waiting in the waiting room for probably 10-15 minutes... but I can't recall if I drank anythign before going into the planned parenthood. Could be results be inconclusive because of this? The testing person never said anything about drinking water.
Response from Mr. Glenn
Thanks for your question,
While drinking fluid right before an oral test is not recommended, it sounds like you didn't drink anything right before your test. Therefore nothing to worry about.
This may be a case of your anxiety getting the best of you.
Hope this helps!
