oraquik mouth swab and rash
May 10, 2013
Hello can you be allergic to the swab? I got a rash on my chest after using. If the swab had been reused can it transmit hiv?
Response from Ms. Southall
Hi I have not heard of anyone having a bad reaction to the the swab itself. The swab should never be reused, but if for some reason it was, HIV begins to die once it is outside of the body and is unable to infect.
If your rash continues I would recommend that you follow up with your health care provider for evaluation, but it is not HIV.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
