| HIV card Test Apr 4, 2013 Hi Doc, What is HIV Card test? How accurate is this at 44 days? I had protected sex, but fear of HIV, I was intoxicated and don't know the final status of the condom, but believe it did not break. I have done three test already; HIV Early Screen - Negative -- @ 34 days HIV PCR - Not Detected -- @ 34 days HIV Card Method - Negative -- @ 44 Days Can I be conclusive, least by how much percentage. Regards, N |

Response from Ms. Southall
Hi The guidelines for testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks then again at 90 days and as long as there are no other exposures during this time than the results are conclusive. So you are on the right track, get tested again at 90 days and you will know for sure your status. Be well and stay safe, Shannon | |||||||||
