Doubt about window period Apr 2, 2013 I want to know the wich guideline do you refer for test at 3 weeks and 3 months? Because the cdc website says 3 and 6 months to be tested after an exposure. |

 Hi I go with the current guidelines to be initially tested at 3 weeks post exposure and then again at 90 days. The guidelines do change initially you were to be tested for a year then it was reduced to 6 months and now 3 months/90 days and there are test soon to be available that are 30 days. This is all due to science and making the test more sensitive and able to pick up the body's antibody against HIV being developed. Be well and stay safe, Shannon | ||||||||
