I think the prostitute had hiv, and she gave me oral and bit on the top of the penis.. i started to bleed near the opening of the penis.. please help.. ithink she is positive..
Response from Ms. Southall
Hi Oral sex carries the lowest risk of HIV transmission, yes the risk does increase some with the biting and the blood, but she would have to have an open bleeding sore as HIV is not transmitted through saliva. The risk is very small. The guidelines for testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks post exposure and then again at 90 days, and if there are no other exposures during this time, the results are conclusive.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
