|possible hiv infection?
Mar 15, 2013
Hi I recently had sex with a Hooker. Unprotected oral sex and protected vaginal sex. Will a Folliculitis around a single hair be enough for HIV virus to be transmitted to my blood stream? The red circle around the hair was itchy but not bleeding. Plz help me assess the risk and should I go for a HIV test?

Hi We know that oral sex carries the lowest risk of HIV transmission and protected sex decreases the risk of transmission. As long as there are no openings, sores, cuts etc... folliculitis doesn't pose a risk because there is not a opening. The risk is very low.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
