| Please put my fear to rest! Jan 30, 2013 Hello, I had unprotected vaginal sex with a male of unknown status. I have tested many times with a rapid test at my local clinic, last being at 190 days (6 months) post exposure. All have been negative. Is this full and final,150% conclusive? What, if anything could cause delay in seroconversion past 6 months? Thank you! |

Response from Dr. Wohl
You are fully, 100%, negative. There is no delayed seroconversion that you need to worry about. The HIV tests are much more sensitive than ever and you are by definition HIV negative. DW | |||||||||
