Saliva as a lube in protected anal sex
Jan 20, 2013
While having anal sex, with a condom, if saliva is used as a lube, can it lead to hiv transmission for the bottom?? I am pretty sure there was no lesion/source of blood in the mouth,so the saliva wasnt infected with blood per se.

Thanks for your question,
There is NO RISK of HIV from saliva.
You may be asking "well what if there was blood in the saliva." But that'd only be important if there was a TON of blood in the saliva. So much so that it'd be mostly blood! Sounds like that was far from the case.
Hope this helps!
