Clearing doubt. Help to save meJan 11, 2013 Hello Once I accidently touched my anus(asshole) with my co workers blood while cleaning his cut, as he had just cut his finger so I volunteered to help him and then same hands I used to touch my asshole (may be after 5 seconds after I touched fresh blood of his I touched my ass hole). I realised later that my hands may be were with blood. It was too late then. Considering he is with HIV,I may also die and going mad over this. Do I need to test for HIV? Already feel bad and going mad after this anxiety |

![]() | Response from Ms. SouthallHi Having a hard time understanding how you accidentally touched your anus, but with blood on your hand from you friends cut the risk of HIV transmission is not likely. Just from touching the outside of your anus doesn't present a risk. HIV begins to die once it is outside of the body and is unable to infect. You are fine from this exposure. Be well and stay safe, Shannon | ||||||||
