i had sex with a prostitute,during sex,condom broke,dont know while doing,as soon as i pulled out,came to know ,but didnt ejaculate,have fear of getting aids,is there a chance of getting????????pls help me

Hi The risk is low but it is there. It's harder for women to pass the virus to men and with the condom breaking that increases the chances some. Because of this and the woman being a sex worker, meaning she has had a lot of partners, it is important for you to receive testing. Not just for HIV but also for all of the other sexually transmitted infections. You should follow up with your health care provider for this screening.

The guidelines for HIV testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks and then again at 90 days if this test is negative then so are you. Also an important thing to know for the future is many times a condom breaks because it was place on incorrectly. Make sure when you are putting it on that you pinch the tip so that there is room for ejaculate to go, make sure there is lubrication, either natural or a water based lubricant, ensure the condom hasn't expired or the packaging isn't damaged.
