Hello ! I am gay and had anal sex with a stranger. I was the passive one and we used condom. He didnt cum in my ass. Is there any chance that Ive catched something (eccpesialy HIV) ?
Response from Ms. Southall
Hi You had protected sex!!! Being the receptive partner in anal sex does carry the highest risk of HIV transmission but wearing a condom gives you the protection that you need. However, condoms don't prevent all the other sexually transmitted infections. If you experience any symptoms or side effects I would recommend that you follow up with a health care provider for evaluation.
We do encourage everyone who has ever had sex to get tested to know your status. But your experience is considered a safe behavior.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
