Oral sex Dec 7, 2012 Hello mam. I asked you the question that "i recently had oral sex with an uninfected married man.Is there any risk of STI?" I got reply but u told that there is no risk of HIV. Then what about STI?Is there any risk of getting STI?Isn't STI and HIV different? Should i go for my check up? Please guide me mam... |

 Hi I'm sorry I wasn't clear. Oral sex carries the lowest risk of HIV transmission but yes there are still risk for other sexually transmitted infections. STI's and HIV are not different, they are all sexually transmitted infections. If you are concerned about the possible other STI's then yes seeing your health care provider is recommended. Oral transmission of HIV and other STI's are slim, but yes possible. Be well and stay safe, Shannnon | ||||||||
