|paranoid about razors and viruses
Nov 21, 2012
Hi! Just now, I had my hair cut at a salon, and an employee accidentally cut her thumb on the razor blade that was about to be used on me. The same blade was used on me a few seconds after she cut her thumb on that same blade(I didn't get any cuts on my skin, by the way). Is there any risk of infection? I apologize in advance for my being paranoid. Thanks!

Thanks for your question,
There isn't any risk for HIV from the situation you're describing. None.
There would need to be HIV positive body fluid coming out of someone's body and going immediately/directly inside of your body. You're missing most of that formula!
Skin is actually very very good at protecting the body from infections! You didn't even get a cut.
Hope this helps!
