PLEASE ADVISE: SYMPTOMS AFTER 3 Months Nov 21, 2012 Please respond to this--as several of my questions seem to have gone unanswered and I dont think this is as rdiculous as I touched a toiled seat do I have HIV Three more than four months ago I had protected vaginal sex with prostitute. Negative results at 3, 8, and 14 week marks. However, recently my girlfriend (who I also have only protected sex with) has developed flu like symptoms, weight loss, and her first yeast infection. Is it possible the tests are flawed? Or is it just coincidence? Please advise Sleepless in Seattle |

 Thanks for you question, The problem here isn't faulty tests, protected vaginal sex poses no risk for HIV. None! Condoms are very good at what they do. There's no surprise that your tests came back negative, because you had no risk in the first place. The challenge for you right now is to learn how to manage your feelings about this.
