hello doctor shannon, i got tested at 90th day after my 1 time exposure that was negative but i feel little stomach pain sometimes, iam scared is this any symptoms of hiv positive pls answer to me thank you
Response from Ms. Southall
Hi The guidelines for HIV testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks then again at 3 months, if both of these tests are negative then so are you, as long as there were no other types of exposure during that 3 month period, if so then the timing starts over again.
Having your test come back negative after this time you are HIV free. If the stomach pains continue I recommend that you follow up with your health care provider to see why you are having this pain.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
