how long a HIV virus can survive in da water, even if its contain blood.
Sep 24, 2012

I want to know, how long hiv virus can be alive in da blood, and if a drop of blood is there in the glass of water whice is carrying hiv virus, than how long the virus can survive.

Response from Mr. Glenn

Thanks for your question,

First off, there is absolutely no risk from a situtation like the one you're describing. NONE.

There's needs to be HIV positive body fluid coming out of someone's body and going immediately/directly into yours. That isn't happening in the situation you're talking about. Far from it, in fact.

As an aside, HIV in one droplet of water (or many drops of water), will immediately begin to die because the temperature outside the human body is much much colder than inside. Besides, the blood gets diluted..

Hope this helps,

Erik
