Dr. Wohl - I am very confused
Aug 30, 2012

Dr. David Wohl, i have two NON REACTIVE results both from DUO TESTS at 6 weeks and 9 weeks after low risk exposure.

My questions are:

1. Are these results conclusive? 2. Have you ever seen or heard about a NEGATIVE DUO TEST at 9 weeks turning POSITIVE later on? 3. Should I retest at 13 weeks?

I know US CDC guideline says 3 months, but the guideline was written in 2006 and no DUO TESTS were used in the US at that time.

France guideline says 6 weeks is conclusive, and DUO TESTS are being used there since long time ago.

I will appreciate your expert advice.

Response from Dr. Wohl

I would take these results as conclusive.
