Please give me some advice.

I had unprotected receptive anal sex, but there was no ejaculation. I know this still poses a risk, but here me out.

5 days later, I had tonsillits. White spots on tonsils, fever, the whole thing. Antibiotics knocked this out of the park. Immediately following this and for the past 2 months, I've had stomach gurgling, diarrhea and mild fatige. This have been persistant. My first stool and blood samples at 8 weeks came back negative. It has now been almost 12 weeks and I still have this weird stomach problem.

I got back together with my boyfriend and we've been swapping oral, but not having sex until we get my tests back. We swallowed during oral, but NO sex. A week after this started, he developed a high fever and had a sore throat. When this cleared up a week later, he now has the EXACT same symptoms as me. Diarrhea, stomache cramping and weird sounds, and has had it for now 4 weeks.

We both are seeing GI doctors next month, but I read that parasitic infecitons can be common with HIV infected people. Can they occur this quick? Or is it possible we just picked up a bug from this guy? Have you heard of ARS and Sereconversion being accompanied by an intenstianal bug that lasts months?

Very worried about our situation.

ARS usually resolves. The persistence of the GI symptoms makes ARS less likely. Still, it is very important to get HIV tested. The GI doc can certainly screen you for intestinal infections as some (including chlamydia) can be spread sexually.
