Response from Dr. Wohl
The virus can 'hide' in cells in the body and that is what makes HIV hard to cure. BUT, the antibodies the body makes once HIV infection occurs does not hide and most who are HIV+ also have virus circulating in the blood. So, do not confuse the ability of the virus to hide with all the virus and evidence of the virus being hidden. If you were infected by your partner, you HIV tests would be positive. DW | |||||||||
