Can sucking nipples cause Aids
Jul 19, 2012

Hi Dr, I had protected sex with sex worker, not sure about her HIV status. This is what happened, i sucked the nipples, and I tasted a salty juice coming from her nipples and I immediately spit it off. I too had bleeding gums at that time. Kindly Advice on my risk here. This will be a great help.

Response from Mr. Cordova

Hi, there:

Breast Milk can transmit HIV. However, in this situation, transmission is unlikely. A one-time occurrence, even with bleeding gums would not be a terribly high-risk. If you are concerned, you can go in for an HIV test at the 90 day mark.

In health,

Richard
