Anxiety killing me!
Jun 30, 2012

Hi, I'm from India and I came across this site and thought I would be properly helped. I saw a lot of questions but, being answered personally is very different. my age is 23. I've had an active sex life since the age of 19. I've had like , 7 partners till now. out of which 4 were virgins when they had sex with me. I've used condoms few times, but, I've had unprotected sex with all of the 7. My last unsafe encounter was last 27th may 2011. I got tested for HIV, 4th generation antibody test, in August. it came negative. then I did a follow up test next March 2012. That is 10 months after the possible exposure.even that came as non reactive. Is it conclusive enough that I don't have HIV? Anxiety kills me all the time. Please help. I'l be extremely thankful!

Response from Mr. Glenn

Thanks for your question,

To answer your question, YES. Your test was conclusive! It told us you were negative.

So you've had two negative HIV tests already. The next question is how you can get to a point to accept them as truth and move on..

It can help to talk to a trusted person about this, specifically a mental health professional can help you grow the skills to manage your anxiety.

Hope this helps!

Erik
