|swimming pool risk

Can you get aids or hepatitis C from a public swimming pool. My little boy has lessons in the local pool where they use a salt based chlorine filtration system that is less harsh. It uses sodium chloride and takes out most of the sodium and leaves the chloride. Many pools are using it instead of harsh liquid chlorine. Would hiv or hep. be able to survive in this kind of water and if you had a scratch or drank some you could contract it? I have heard pools are safe but what if there is no harsh chlorine? Very worried. Thanks

Thanks for your question,
There is absolutely no risk from the situation you're describing. Simply put, the pool water will dilute any random blood to the point that it isn't there in significant quantities. Doesn't matter if there's chlorine or not to be frank.
Hope this helps!
