| ELISA - Indeterminate; HIV-1 RNA Qualitative - Inconclusive Jun 23, 2012 I had unprotected sex last year, I was a top. After a month I got all symptoms similar to Malaria. After the test results my doc said its Malaria. I went for a routine HIV test this year. ELISA - Indeterminate; after a month HIV-1 PCR RNA Qualitative - Inconclusive (copies=20) What could be the reason for PCR test to be be inconclusive and what does it mean. My lab told me that the copies should be < 20 for a negative result and mine is 20. The doc suggested me a Western Blot after 3 months. I'm worried now. |

Response from Dr. Wohl
This is concerning. I would: a) repeat HIV antibody test (elisa and western blot) b) repeat HIV viral load test DW | |||||||||
