spa facialist used a lancet for my white heads Jun 17, 2012 Hello I was wondering if I'm at risk for anything, this place I went to is in mall of Asia Philippines, I am traveling. So I don't know their procedures for sterilization and I didn't want to be a nag because I am a forigner. I'm only concerned cuz I've had flu like symptoms as far as weak and painful muscles in my neck jaw and back, cough with mucous and fatigue for almost three weeks now. Thanks for your time. |

 Hi HIV transmission in the manner you have described is highly unlikely. There would have to be a large volume of blood on the lancet and it would have had to been used within minutes on you after the last person. There are other bacteria and virus that survive longer than HIV and don't require as much fluid. You could also just have the flu! If your symptoms continue I would follow up with your healthcare provider to see what may be going on with you. Be well and stay safe, Shannon | ||||||||
