|HELP! 4 months negative but still sore throat?
Jun 12, 2012
I am 4 months negative, but at the 5 month mark I started having a sore throat! I'm really worried and anxious. Please help! Could this be ARS? I'm having a lot of anxiety.

Hi The guidelines for HIV testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks then again at 3 months, if both of these tests are negative then so are you. Though some folks may have another test at 6 months. If this test is negative and you continue to have the sore throat I would recommend following up with your health care provider to see if there is something else going on with your body.
Be well and stay safe, Shannon
