HIV 10 day test reliability
Jun 12, 2012

I would just like to know if the 10 day post contact tests are as good as they say. The clinic I was looking at said they are 99.8% reliable. If this is the case why should I wait with 3-6 months of fear. I would love to belive these tests but it seems to good to be true. Any advice would be welcome.

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi The guidelines for HIV testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks then again at 3 months, if both of these tests are negative then so are you.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon
