Follow up on emergency first aid blood contact
Jun 12, 2012

Thankyou for the reassurance and I will most definatley be following up with a full check. Was just wondering what you think of the reliability of the 10 day post contact tests and how accurate they are. I really want a fast reliable answer. Think waiting months will destroy me. Don't mean to be over dramatic.

Response from Ms. Southall

Hi PCR DNA tests have an earlier window of detection than antibody tests and most people show up positive on an antibody test by 28 days. So going with the guidelines of having the initial test at 3 weeks then again at 3 months.

Be well and stay safe, Shannon
